This post took me over 100 hours to write.

Launching a newsletter for facilitators.

I sketched out the concept, brainstormed post ideas, designed branding stuff, built and tweaked and rebuilt social media pages, tried three different newsletter apps, built a website—then rebuilt it 2 more times… and a lot more. For months. All to get to this post—the first ever “Facilitators on Fire” newsletter.

Quite idiotic, maybe. I could have just typed something and hit publish, then let it evolve from there.

Tool for you: Ship It Workbook

In his classic book Linchpin, Seth Godin (the marketing rockstar) says getting projects over the finish line and out into the world, a process he calls "shipping," is key to your success. Less perfecting and fear, more putting it out there.

If it doesn’t ship, it doesn’t count.

Seth Godin

Seth published a little workbook called “Ship It” shortly after Linchpin. Because shipping is really all that matters. I bought 10 of them back in the day. They are out of print now, but Seth has a free PDF version for you.

I dare you to print it and fill it out for your next project. I promise it’ll help you get it out in less than 100 days.

By the way, I don’t benefit financially from promoting Seth’s books. I just love them and have found them useful. ❤️

Facilitators on Fire is business fuel for facilitators.

I remix and share ideas and tools from experts to show you how you can help more clients and love the work you do behind your facilitation work.
